Udom’s SA on Local Media Meets NUJ Chairman
It was indeed a moment of Joy and blessings when the Special Assistant to the Governor of Akwa Ibom State on Local Media, Prince Emmanuel Sam paid the Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists Akwa Ibom State, Elder Patrick Albert a visit to officially inform him of his appointment.
The newly appointed SA informed the Chairman of his readiness to tap into the Chairman’s wealth of knowledge so as to contribute to his success in office.
Elder Patrick Albert in response expressed Joy over the development, noting that Prince Sam worked for it hence deserving of the appointment.
He added ” My dream of coming to NUJ is fulfilled especially for the segment we call local media. I’m happy that you have been given this appointment. This appointment from the Governor is divine. Any divine appointment or gift comes with divine peace. You are a core stakeholder in the media industry and one of the fighters within the State based media.
” In the last election, you came out to clearly define what Emmanuel Sam is all about. You didn’t speak with double tongue and I am happy the Governor rewarded you. It will be well with Governor Udom Emmanuel for recognizing the sacrifices that you made.
“We believe Akwa Ibom State deserves peace and should be governed by men of peace. I will support you to succeed. I feel more satisfied today that this came to pass. The local media today has been more robust and we know you are equal to the task. NUJ will support you even after my exit.”
Highpoint of the visit was the prayers offered for the SA’s success in office.
