Gov Udom Emmanuel Executed 1,954 Direct Labour Projects in 4yrs

1,954 Direct Labour intervention Projects have been implemented across the state within the first tenure of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration.
This is contained in the interim report submitted May 28, 2019 to the Governor by the Chairman of the adhoc committee on Project Monitoring and Verification, Mr Ephraim Inyangeyen during a meeting with the Governor by members of the Committee at Government House, Uyo.
Governor Emmanuel expressed appreciation to the committee for their commitment to the verification exercise on time.
Governor Emmanuel assured that the report would be one of the working documents in his second tenure in office.
“Let me thank you people for the extent of work done, and be rest assured that recommendations in this will be totally and well implemented for the 2nd term as we are commencing after midday tomorrow.”
He reiterated his determination to sustain transparency in his administration and thanked the committee for a job well done.
Governor Emmanuel however directed the committee to make the final report available to the public for their scrutiny.
“But I stand to be corrected that, this is the first time a first term Governor will execute 1,954 projects, it is unprecedented, it has never been done because the records are there.”
“This alone will show our commitment, our passion and by the Grace of God what we are meant to do in another 4 years as we settle in almost immediately.”
“The balance of this report should be ready latest June, 30, whether you are in office or out of office. I should get the final copy of all the reports with all the attached documents.”
Earlier, the Chairman of the Committee, Mr Ephraim Inyangeyen, expressed appreciation to the Governor for finding them worthy of the assigned responsibility.
He said that two weeks was the dateline for the verification exercise.
Mr Inyangeyen said that the projects date from 29th May, 2015 when the administration started to date.
He said all the Ministries, Departments and Agencies, obliged the committee of projects executed by their departments.
He thanked the Governor for his commitment to the development of the state.
