Gov. Emmanuel Attends Church Service With UNIUYO Students
Governor Udom Emmanuel made history on Sunday as first incumbent governor to worships at The Victory Chapel, University of Uyo, Town Campus.
During the church service, Governor Emmanuel harped on the need for students to shun cultism and other morally offensive vices, while charging the students to be good ambassadors of the institution.
Reacting to the reported recent cases of insecurity in the campus, he placed a curse on cultists and vowed to leave no stone unturned to ensure that lives of all students and indeed every life in the state is protected.
He recounted that he had placed a ban on cultism and assured that anyone caught would not be spared.
Gov. Emmanuel said, “I will do everything possible to ensure the safety of lives and property of Akwa Ibom people.
“When armed robbers are caught, you discover that all of them are cultists, if we arrest ten kidnappers, all ten turn out to be cultists.
“And when they are caught in that cross fire with our security agents, they travel, that is why you don’t see them again,” he explained.
