APC Chieftains administer Voodoo ‘Mbiam’ for fake contract papers
* Arrange to train thugs for elections
It is quite surprising and disheartening that the All Progressive Congress in Akwa Ibom State has now become a battle field where diabolical acts, corruption, confusion and destruction set in.
In an obvious display of desperation and excess political ambitions, some APC big wigs have been accused of administering voodoo (Mbiam) to contract seekers who approach them for contracts.
A party Chieftain, Mr. Emmanuel Isaac Charlie who recently dumped the Party revealed this to our correspondence in Uyo.
Mr. Charlie revealed that in a meeting held at a hotel in Ewet Housing Estate early this year, one of the federal government appointees of the APC displayed contract papers and more than 84 stakeholders that were drawn from all the Local Government Areas of the state were asked to take the oath (mbiam) never to leave the party after collecting the contract paper. He added that the contract papers turned out to be fake; an occurrence he said has been the stock-in-trade of the APC officials.
“On 3rd February 2018, a meeting was held at a hotel in Ewet housing estate at the instance of one of the Federal government appointees, there, a contract paper was issued to more than 84 stakeholders that were drawn from all the local government areas of the state. So shocking that those who stepped out to collect the letters were asked to swear to an oath (mbiam) that they will not leave the party after collecting the paper, even when the contract turned out to be fake”, our source revealed.
Our source also revealed that as the 2019 elections gather momentum, the APC federal government appointees also gathered stakeholders of the party three weeks ago in the same hotel for a meeting, and there at the meeting, the stakeholders were given a task to mobilize 25 able-bodied men to be trained, fortified and empowered to be used as thugs for the 2019 general elections.
The ugly incidence in the party, our source noted, triggered his decision to resign and dump the party, as according to him, he is not ready to be a part of “greedy men who think they can become governor and senators through people’s blood.”
Mr. Charlie further observed that the diabolic activities by the APC federal government appointees in Akwa Ibom state will affect the party’s victory in the 2019 general elections.
