Moses names Idem’s Empowerment Centre “Obot Uboho”
… Unyime Idem Flag-off campaigns with dedication and inauguration of Campaign Organisation.

Mr. Unyime Idem’s empowerment centre for the people of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Constituency has been named “Obot Uboho” by the Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Moses Ekpo MFR.
Mr. Idem, who is Peoples Democratic Party Candidate for Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in 2019 general election, had, on Sunday, November 25, 2018, while formally flagging off his campaign, set up Empowerment Centre for Ukanafun/Oruk Anam constituents.
Mr. Moses so named the place, which, in English language, translates, “Mount of Deliverance from poverty, unemployment, poor representation etc”, while unveiling the Unyime Idem Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency Empowerment Centre that Sunday.
The Deputy Governor, was thrilled by the gesture, which he described as first of its kind.
He said: “This is the first time I am witnessing this kind of event, where a candidate for an office built and commissioned a Constituency Office for the empowerment of his constituents ahead of the elections.”
According Uncle Mo, as he is fondly called, “This shows the level of seriousness and commitments Mr. Idem is attaching to the office he is about occupying towards setting a new benchmark of representation for his people in the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja.
“On the strength of this and more, I nickname this centre “Obot Uboho” for rapid eradication of poverty, plaguing unemployment and insecurity in Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria in general”.
He encouraged everyone to rally round him and other PDP Candidates at all levels, including Mr. Governor for 2nd term in Akwa Ibom State Gubernatorial Election come 2019.
Others who attended the event and spoke glowingly of Idem were Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, former Military Administrator of Akwa Ibom State and Director General of Divine Mandate Organisation for Udom/Moses 2019, and Engr. Chris Ekpenyong, Ikot Ekpene Senatorial Candidate for PDP.
PDP stalwarts from the constituency who presented goodwill messages at the event included,
Rt. Hon. Obong Eno Akpan, Chairman, Board of Advisers, UnyimeAbasi Campaign Organisation,
Rt. Hon. Udo Kierian, Leader, Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly,
Hon. Udo Ekpenyong, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs,
Hons. Uko Idiong and Ubong Idiong, Council Chairmen of Ukanafun and Oruk Anam local government areas respectively,
Dr. Mrs. Charity Ido, Ukanafun State Constituency Candidate for PDP and Mr. Ndiana Udom (1st Runner-up in the Federal House Party Primary) among others.
All those that spoke at event toed the deputy governor’s line, extolling the qualities of the PDP Candidate for the Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency, as an “astute entrepreneur, effective manager of humans and resources, a bottom-up rising star, wealth/Jobs creator, humble, compassionate, good listener and goal-getter”.
They summarised that this constituency (Ukanafun/Oruk Anam) is blessed to have “The Dangote” of Akwa Ibom State vying to represent them in the Green Chambers of the National Assembly.
Earlier in the day, during the church service in the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Ukanafun, the UnyimeAbasi Campaign Organisation and the campaign materials were dedicated while Campaign Organization, which is manned by Rt. Hon. Elder Aniekan Akpan as the Director-General, was inaugurated by the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Barr. Onofiok Luke.
The events were witnessed by mammoth crowd of people from all works of life both from within and outside the Federal Constituency, culminating in preponderance observations by the people that it is a clear indication of the acceptability of the Candidate.
