2023: Nsima Ekere, Buhari’s Aide Ita Enang at War
“I was humiliated and maltreated by my 2019 Governorship candidate” –Enang
There is an ongoing faceoff of great proportion between the defeated gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Mr Nsima Ekere and the Director General of his Governorship campaign organisation, Senator Ita Solomon Enang, THE INK Newspaper can report matters of fact.
Nsima whom close sources say have detailed the many betrayals he suffered from Enang in his bid to become the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, our reporter learnt may take his pound of flesh following the Guber interest of Enang for 2023.
Investigation by THE INK Newspaper reveals that many allies of Nsima Ekere like Chief Sunny Ibanga, Uyio Nathaniel, Inibehe Okori even in the heat of the governorship campaigns had accused Enang of introducing weaklings and obsolete campaign strategies into the Campaign and had made several attempts to kick him out in replacement of another as DG but not for Sen Akpabio’s intervention.
But if Akpabio’s intervention then had allowed Enang retain the job of Nsima Ekere’s DG, THE INK gathered that his intervention this time will not stop Nsima Ekere’s supporters from hitting back at Senator Ita Enang’s governorship ambition.
Most of Nsima Ekere’s supporters have taken to the social media to pour cold water on Senator Ita Enang’s governorship ambition ever since Enang’s supporters started trending the Hash tag ‘SISE, 2023’.
SISE 2023 which is mostly promoted by the Presidential aides’s media handlers means Senator Ita Solomon Enang, 2023 governorship.
But no sooner had Enang’s media handlers dropped the hash tag than one of Nsima Ekere’s supporter Rachel Nse bombed it saying “may God give Ita Enang the kind of DG, he was to Nsima Ekere”.
The position by Rachel Nse did not go down well with Ita Enang and his supporters who fought back immediately accusing Ekere of having humiliated Enang when the Ex lawmaker served as his DG
Ita Enang himself had to come public to lament and report to the world what he suffered in the hands of Nsima Ekere promoting and supporting his 2019 guber ambition.
Ita Enang spoke through his Media aide Essien Inyang as a response to the assertion by Rachel Nse.
In a post on facebook, he said, “After going through comments and reactions from the public, I’d love to say Amen to our sister’s prayer and petitions.
Our sister, Miss Rachel Kufreabasi Nse may not be conscious of the commitment, sacrifice and selfless efforts invested in the electioneering of Obong Nsima Udo Ekere and our darling party, APC. And, let me say that those contributions are invaluable and cannot be listed here.
I won’t also like to enumerate the despicable insults and venomous attacks Senator Ita Enang, got for conscientiously promoting the manifesto of his party and her candidates. These are normal and intricately woven into the political process.
But the prayer in my mind is… May God not allow Distinguished Senator Ita Enang to treat his DG or campaign manager the same way and manner he was treated despite all the good heart he invested.
May God bless and keep Rachel to see what God will use Distinguished Senator Ita Enang for and for the services of humanity.”
Meanwhile, the explanation and lamentations by supporters of Ita Etang appear not to have convinced Ekere’s men.
Supporters of the APC guber candidate have not also relent on their support for their benefactor as many have taken to their social media handles to vent their anger since series of trending hash tag #SISE 2023 came on board.
It is understood that the SSA to President Buhari on Niger Delta Affairs who boasts of always playing his political game to a standstill has confided in some APC faithfuls that he has since been ready to fight anyone who crosses his path and that not even Nsima and his supporters can stop him from getting the APC governorship ticket for 2023 guber elections.
